Manual refresh on gmail

Not sure if this is a gmail thing, thunderbolt, or something else. But I've had to do manual refreshes on gmail to get my emails. I can't find a setting that tells how often to check for messages. Anyone else experience this lately?

Yeah....same here.....seems like its a pretty common issue at the moment.

I had to factory restore my Tbolt because the screen was going nuts and just noticed the email issue right after that this week.

Google Talk no longer works either and is gone from the Market.
