Fans of the collectible card game Magic the Gathering might be interested in this news. Wizards of the Coast just released their latest digital version of the game called Magic 2015 - Duels of the Planeswalkers. It's now available on Android, the Xbox 360 and the PC (through Steam).
This version is not the same thing as Magic the Gathering Online (MODO for old timers), nor is it anywhere near as addictive as the real world collectible version of the game (they don't call it "cardboard crack" for nothing), but it still might be worth checking out for folks who don't want to wade too far into the hobby.
In the game you can customize your decks, and the more wins you get the more virtual cards you get to add to your decks. You can even play multiplayer against your friends. For newbies, this could be a gateway into the hobby, so be wary (or excited). For old school veterans it's a decent way to grab some nostalgia from your youth without diving back into the game all over again.
[Editor's Note: at the time of this publication, the app is not yet available on the Google Play Store, but there is a link to it, so we expect it to be changed at sometime in the near future.]
