I actually consider LTE to usually be more than fast enough - I routinely get 20-30mbps tethering....the bottleneck on my phone seems to be the CPU/GPU with how long it takes webpages to load.

I have enough speed to cope. If you're transferring large files it would be a god send. Other than that, Overkill. I'm quite sure the people still stuck with 4-5 Mbps speeds will not get gigabit speeds for the foreseeable future.

Maybe not overkill. just means the network can handle more traffic. less likely to get throttle.
