Gotcha. I'm not aware of a texting app with that kind of functionality. There are chat apps that offer the ability to send drawings, or at least draw on a picture and send it quickly, but I'm not aware of an SMS/MMS texting app that does so.
Can't say I've ever heard of that feature within a texting app either. Even with the Note series devices that give you the ability to draw on ANY page within pretty much any app, you still have to save it as a screenshot before sending it.
TBH I did as well which is why I asked my SO to test it out on her Note 7. No go. Sorry bud....I tried!
Then again, it wouldn't be the first time we've had and lost a cool feature on Android.
It did prior to M. I lost it when my Note4 finally updated to M. I use the action memo app and s-pen now. As an example,I text my boss something, he wants me to elaborate, I double tap the screen with s-pen, action memo opens. Draw, choose share, send to him while still in Textra app.
