looking for a gallery app with a "show from folders" type thing

This may sound strange, but I am looking for a gallery app that will allow me to choose what folders it will pull from.

The default app shows me EVERY photo which include photos in sig files from touchdown, book covers from my book apps, and barcode scans from handycards.
I don't want to delete them and assume changing the folder name to .name will mess up the programs.

Any suggestions? Thank you.
