looking for a call/sms blocker

Anyone know of a good blocker? I'm getting 50-100 txt messages from a number repeatedly every so often and I'd like to block the messages from coming through. Thanks for your help.

If you're looking to avoid being billed then blocking at the app level probably isn't the best approach.

if u have unlimited messaging then handcent or chomp u can blacklist messages and if they keep messaging u get them back with "text repeater" in the market...one of the best funniest apps to me..u can blast them back to make their phone stop for a awhile

I use AFirewall (android firewall, little cloud icon) because it has so many options. It blocks calls, mms, sms, and you can even set times when to block certain numbers. It is a paid app, but well worth it and the developer always seems to put out little updates. I love it.

Also, it keeps a hidden 'log' of texts and calls if you want, but doesnt let them thru to your actual phone. Nice feature...

I have unlimited so I really just don't want to see the text. This text repeater sounds great though I think I'll get me some payback handcent should probably do the trick. Thanks.

i have pissed off a lot of friends and people who like to text me back to back just playing and thenj they tend to get a lil mad when they get bout 50 texts in like 60 seconds haha

Is there a way to view your blacklisted numbers in handcent? I deleted the thread and now can't find the number to get my payback on them lol.

yes go to ur setting and blacklist and click to show blacklisted numbers..it is in there cause i use to have handcent i use chomp now
