Locking The Icons

Is there a way to lock the icons so that I don't accidently delete them, as I seem to have a tendency to do? I will be holding the phone a little too tightly, and before I know it, I'm missing an icon.

ADWLauncer EX will do this for you. im sure there are other alternatives as well.
