locked bookmarks in browser ... unlockable?

theres a few bookmarks in the browser with locks shown when you view your bookmarks. long press brings up options but delete is not there.

i thought tibackup pro might have a feature to unlock them but it doesnt. does anyone know if they can be unlocked/deleted?

It is possible, but you have to use root explorer. Here is a link for the instructions. They're for a DroidX, but I just tried it on my Droid 2 and it works. Not sure if it will work on the D2G:

Once you set the value to 0, you can then go into your bookmarks, long press and the delete option will be there.

for wat i want to do, cant justify spending 4 bucks for that app ....
i changed my homepage from the preinstalled mobile google to the classic google ...wanted to nuke the bookmark but leaving it there wont cause me much truama ....

There might be other programs to edit the section that needs to modified, but root explorer is what I've used for a lot of different things. If you're just looking to kill a bookmark with Root Explorer, you're right, not worth it.
