Live Wallpaper is

I noticed a site that spoke about Live Wallpaper.
I have searched the Market Place and h ave not been able to find an app or anything in respect to this.

Can anyone shed any light on what it is where I can get it?

It is a feature that is only available on the Android 2.1 update. Right now, there is no official phone that has the update, but there is a thread around here that walks you through the steps of how to do it. The live wallpapers include one with leaves floating through water and each time you touch the screen, the water "splashes" in the area you touched.

I noticed it on a youtube video.
OK guess it was on a 2.1 device.

So you installed the leak OS2.1?
I'm not sure if I should consider it or just wait.
I heard that 2.1 will be pushed out in January wither 11, or 22...
Not sure which it is.

If you can wait, wait....if not, then jump on in....it's really a personal choice....

It's really not too bad. I did it a few days ago but decided to switch back to 2.0.1 because of a few bugs that bothered me. Check out this thread:

It's really not too bad. I did it a few days ago but decided to switch back to 2.0.1 because of a few bugs that bothered me. Check out this thread:

Trying to figure out if its worth doing, or just wait for the official release?

Am I correct that when ppl talk about ROOTing they are talking about unlocking the OS?
And what is the benefit?

I assume you mean you are running 2.0.1. To use Live Wallpapers you have to root your Droid and install the 2.1 ROM. Head over to the Hacks forum if you are interested in how to do it.

I assume you mean you are running 2.0.1. To use Live Wallpapers you have to root your Droid and install the 2.1 ROM. Head over to the Hacks forum if you are interested in how to do it.

Sorry to not be clear...I am rooted. 2.0.3 is the new sholes mod version of 2.1.
