little brother stuck a card in between my keyboard and screen on my droid 4.

My little brother stuck a card in between there and one side of a little black tape thing came out the back of the phone, from in between the two parts of the phone. Now.. I don't know exactly what that is, but the screen won't turn on and I have a feeling the phone is pretty much screwed... I really would like to get the information off of my phone, but when i plug in just using a USB to my computer, It doesn't work. I'm wondering how (there must be a way) to get things like contacts and stuff back off the phone. Please help!

There are videos on YouTube and elsewhere on how to disassemble the phone. It seems as though a ribbon cable is detached. May be an easy fix.
