Liberty v.5 EMAIL program HELP!

I used the Paid toolbox to download and install from v.4 to v.5, and my email program is gone (it worked fine on v.4). i have my gmail still, but need to add my work pop email account... FYI - I did NOT wipe when i installed, i used the toolbox download that said "USE THIS IF YOU'RE NOT ON THE LATEST KERNEL (591)", which i wasn't - i was still on 588. No email is somewhat problematic.

THANKS - you guys are awesome. my DX was almost useless (4-5 battery pulls a day at least) before i rooted and installed Liberty (no battery pulls in a week).

Yes, i'm a newbie.

Open the email app itself rather than accounts and add email accounts directly into the app. I use pop and corporate sync in the aosp email app without issue.

liberty v.5 email program

there is no email program on the phone now, in programs. i may go back to v.4 - that worked flawlessly. Anyone know the advantages of v5 over v4?

You don't have an icon that says email in the app drawer at all? If not that's odd. You could always just download the app k-9 as your mail client. Works just as good if not better than the aosp email. Beats reinstalling again. You should in fact have email app already though. It doesn't show up in applications since it isn't a user app.

go to liberty tool box settings and you will find customize. Download the info and role through the setup and in the setup it asks you what type of email apps you want and one is the email app your looking for.dancedroid

Had the same issue. There was no email icon even after using g customizer. It showed after I used accounts to setup however my contacts don't synch and so I do t have my exchanged Contacts.

email problems

installed K-9, but then the phone went bat**** crazy like it was doing before is rooted and installed libertyv.4

so i backed up, and wiped, and re-installed Liberty v.4
Email app is back after loading v.4.

staying on v.4 until that proves unreliable.

Is Liberty the best ROM out there or still unstable? jrummy said its under development - are there more complete ROM's out there? i just want the DX to work for phone/email/browsing since the stock ROM was an unstable mess...

i found it very unstable after first downloading. I did the customization and then did about 6 or 7 reboots and wiped the battery history and today it seems to be a whole lot better. It def. doesn't seem done though your right about that. 2.0 was pretty much flawless.
