LI-PO Batteries not li-ion

with lipo when u get a brand new battery are you supposed to discharge first then recharge OR just charge before first use?

li-po batteries ARE li-ion batterys just an evolution of the manufacturing process (the difference being that the lithium electrolyte is held in a sold polymer instead of a solution). Therefore it has the same 'properties' as the older li-ion batteries, i.e. they don't like excessive deep discharges and have no 'memory' but they (or rather the software monitoring them) needs 'calibrated' from time to time.

Sir that is alot of good info but I don't think my question was answered. I'm trying to get the manual

The manual of EVERY product is going to tell you to fully charge a battery prior to first use. Such batteries are generally not produced with a 'full charge' and you want to be sure the charge is full for calibration of the battery software (i.e. indicator software).
