Here's something different. LG officially announced the release of their Genesis phone, which is a dual-screen and clamshell design Android 2.2 device. Originally, this phone was supposed to go to Verizon, but it got rerouted to US Cellular instead. It actually has some decent specs, besides the unique design:
Android 2.2 Froyo
  • 1GHz Snapdragon processor
  • 3.5-inch external touchscreen at 480x800
  • 3.2-inch internal touchscreen at 480x800
  • Five-row QWERTY keyboard
  • 5MP camera, max video resolution 640x480
  • 430MB of internal memory
  • 8GB microSD card
  • DLNA multimedia sharing
  • Size: 4.72 inches x 2.43x0.66
  • battery: 1500 mAh
  • Weight: 6 ounces

It's also not a bad looking phone... it makes you wonder why Verizon spurned it. Perhaps it's simply to help US Cellular have a more interesting and marketable phone, or perhaps VZW simply doesn't see much of a market for this device. As a mid-range device, this phone seems more interesting than some of the over-priced and over-hyped powerhouse Android phones being touted by Verizon right now. What do you think?

EnV

I loved my EnV (it was a TANK) and I'm due for an upgrade in November. I would kill for this on Verizon (granted it had some better specs).
