Is your Revo rooted?

Yes, rooted and running the Revolt ROM by mtmichaelson over at XDA. Running my theme, Revolted Red.

The icons and stuff aren't mine though. That's the "Dark Edge Red" Adw theme.

First, on your phone, go to Settings>About Phone and check the "Build Number." If this series of numbers ends in V4, then you can root without any issues. If that series of numbers ends in V6, then you need to downgrade your software by following this post http://www.droidforums.net/forum/lg-revolution-development/169658-how-back-stock-v4-firmware-allow-root.html

Remember, you only need to downgrade if your Build Number says V6 at the end.

Downgrading instructions are in the first post, then after you downgrade to V4, you can follow the root process I listed below. If you have any questions, send me a PM and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

*Updated Super1Click Root Instructions*

Make sure 4G is on during this process!!! Even if 4G is not in your area or you get no signal, make sure it is on anyway!

First, go this post [APP]SuperOneClick v2.1.1 (Finally fixed!) - xda-developers and download Super1Click v1.7.

Next, go to here: LG Forum and download the LG Revolution drivers and install them.

Next, turn on USB Debugging on your Revo. Plug your Revo into your PC. Bring down the Notification Pulldown and select "Internet Connection."

Next, launch Super1Click v1.7. On the main screen for Super1Click, make sure the rageagainstthecage exploit is selected.

Next, click "Root" and wait for the process to complete.

Next, after the process completes, exit out of Super1Click, bring down the notification pulldown and switch connection to "charge only" and wait for it to switch.

Next, unplug the USB cable and reboot.

You should now be rooted on the v4 firmware. Make sure that superuser is installed, alternatively, you can go into the market and download Terminal Emulator. Open Terminal Emulator and type "su" without the quotes. If you get a "#" sign then you are rooted.
