Laying out screen icons externally on a droid 4

Is there an external interface that will allow you to lay out your home screen icons without using the touch screen?

It seems that I have big fingers and when I try to add or move icons, I bump the wall and wind up on a different home screen, or displace an icon that I didn't plan to move. I am using the default launcher on a driod 4 running the stock OS. It would probably be great to use my pc mouse and keyboard to layout my screens and show all of them side by side for easy access.

I usually use my finger nail or pinky, the nail usually still produces enough heat to trip the heat sensitive screen. If not one of the heat activated stylus pens is a great investment. And their usually only about $5.

Thanks, not really what I was looking for, but will give it a try.

I have not tried this but it may be possible to connect it up thru a Travel Adapter and use a keyboard, mouse and TV or a LapDock 100 or LapDock 500 and its keyboard and track pad to do it. Not sure if it would work or not. Maybe someone here with one of those devices can comment on it.
