The short answer is yes. The long answer is...what happens if Nova crashes and is unrecoverable? You would nave NO launcher. I say better safe than sorry, leave Home alone...(not as in to leave home alone as opposed to with someone, but to leave home alone as to...oh, never mind!) LOL!

That actually happened to me once while using holo launcher, I was forced to do a factory reset so I could use the phone again. The stock launcher doesn't use enough resources to impact battery or performance very much.:)
