Last Post Wins.....Ver 2

It's been over 17 years. I just reinjured it a few months ago, so if the orthopedic surgeon he's going to refer me to recommends surgery I'm going to listen. I'm so sick of being in pain, walking with a cane on the bad days, and all that jazz. The last ortho I saw wouldn't touch me because his waiting room was full of teenaged girls he could put his hands all over. I'm not kidding, either. His entire practice was teenaged girls and elderly women he could convince to get joint replacements if they needed them or not. And his partner told me he wouldn't even take excess fluid off my knee to make me more comfortable.

I'm sorry, but when I can't even get my mail because every step feels like my kneecap is surrounded by a band of burning rubber, there's something wrong.

Heck if it hurts like that, scheduled it. I had a friend that his doc scheduled him for back surgery, he wasn't happy with the thought of getting cut, went to another and was directed to a chiropractor, all is OK with a few adjustments.

My FIL had both knees done, walks like a champ now, was with 2 canes like an old man, he's not old, well 70, but that's not that old.

No, it's not. What gets me is how people who know I've been dealing with pain for almost two decades (literally half my life at this point -- 17.5 years) don't seem to believe me that it's become worse. Ever try to drive for an hour when your right knee is throbbing, stabbing, and in general sucking the life out of you? Not fun.

I'll take the win so I have some solace. :D
