Lots of variations.. One is hot chocolate, hot cinnamon schnapps and a touch of vodka... Lots of different ones..

Another is hot cinnamon schnapps, Bourbon and creme De mint..

Some involve actual coffee... I think it varies by region.. Lol

TBH....I haven't either.
All I know is it's a hot adult beverage often served in the winter that contains copious amounts of alcohol. Warms the body & numbs the brain so one can walk away with a win unnoticed.
