I'm really leaning towards the Samsung 9.7 with the S Pen. If they had it in an 8" I'd of just ordered it. I'm just not sure if I want something that large.

If that is all you are really after I think the Tab 4 7" is a good option and can be had on Amazon for $127.

I'm on the fence on what to do. Supposedly our shop is getting us tablets but they keep saying iPad's and I just don't know about that.

I really don't "need" one so much as want it. I think if I get one it will detour me from feeling the "need" to get a new phone.

If I do get one I'm pretty sure it will be a Samsung as so far I haven't seen anything else that catches my interest. Also I really really like the functionality of my S pen and think that is the route to go.

That's a good point. I'd lean 9.7 as I love the 10 for size, I also have the Nexus 7 and it is really too small to really enjoy, the N7 is basically used in my VWTDI commuter and F350 using the Torque Pro app, very useful.
