It's Mexicanized.... I have 3 carne asada tacos from the lunch truck every Friday....they're the best! It's just marinated skirt steak basically.

Special seasoning on flat iron steak, you can probably find the recipe online.
Very typical of authentic Mexican.
There is bad Carne asada if real cheap steak is used. Some of the best is with Sirloin, although not typical.

Although you can possibly find prepackaged vacuum packed asada up there, in an ethnic market.
