Yep...OS 4.4 will be Kit Kat. Kit Kat (the candy bar) will also be releasing specially marked Kit Kat wrappers (Google Android) with a chance at winning a Nexus 7 tablet or other prizes like Google Play Store cards...

Advertising GENIUS.

I'm sure Nestle paid for this. Just think of how many times "Kit-Kat" will be mentioned for free from now until the next OS.

Contest details..

The contest will be offering up 1000 Nexus 7 tablets, 150,000 $5 Google Play credits, and 20,000 coupons for a free bag of 8 ounce bag of Kit Kat Minis. It all kicks off September 6th and runs through January 31, 2014.

I hope the note 2 is slated for this update, and I hope it doesn't screw up foxfi!

LOL.... Everyone is saying they want this update and they have No idea what it will look like... It could be even uglier than the ICS colors.... We have all these phones coming out with beautiful HD displays but still use the same old boring icons.

Interestingly enough, Google says no, no money changed hands. Tons of marketing opportunities, though!

True marketing chutzpah!
where I live, anything 'new' requires months of waiting...and we get the leftovers off the plate, so I suspect when I look for a KitKat, it will be the same ones sold months prior, and not have those wrappers.
I fear I shall never attain Droid greatness being on the sidelines, waiting.

Where you live, I'm in northern California, I plan on going to sams club and costco and get a few cases:-)
