Hi all. I have had my moto Droid for about 3 months. I am not sure if I should root it or not or the benefits of doing it. I have seen people talk about the overclocking and ROM's but I not sure what all that means. Sorry for being dumb about all this but I came here because I heard this is the best site for. Any suggestions?

Your droid (motorola) comes stock at a set speed with a set theme and a set ROM. Unchangeable without rooting it.

So, id youlike the phone as is and just want some apps, let it be.

If you think it's slow, want new colors oe a different ROM that will change the droid completely, root it.

As far as getting into all that. It takes learning but all the answers you seek are in this forum if you just look.
