keybord backlighting random

While the keyboard is open, and in the middle of typing, the keyboard backlighting will randomly turn off. Sometimes for seconds, sometimes for minutes. Screen auto dim is off.

Btw, turned off for about 2 seconds 3 seperate times while typing this message.

Are you running any custom ROMs? Sometimes they might have glitches with this backlight...

If not, then I really have no idea what would be causing this...have you dropped it or anything like that? Any abuse?

Not really. N ot a scratch on it. Everything else works perfectly.

Maybe ill take it in to verizon

I have the same problem with my droid. I'm not rooted. Its been doing this since day one. (November 6) Not a good thing when you're typing at night.

Is screen auto dim tied to the keyboard backlight? I would confirm that the two are related before taking it back to verizon since it sound like auto dimming.
