Keyboard missing

Hi all, new user here, my droid has has a problem I need help with, the keyboard has gone invisible on the phone? checked settings and its selected for manual keyboard, however when you try to reply to a message its invisible but if you hit the screen letters show up? Any help here would be great thanks

Hello and welcome to the forum!

Have you tried to reboot the phone and / or do a battery pull (providing you have a phone with a removable battery)...if that doesn't work, I would go into the phone settings - apps - manage apps - all and find the keyboard listed, tap to open & then clear data / cache.
