I was just typing my last post and I got a notification from Watchdog that my keyboard (A.I. Type) was using 21.2% cpu. Is that normal for a keyboard? Seems excessive but I am new to tracking what uses how my cpu.

Yes, keyboard apps can chew up CPU because they do predictive things like trying to complete what you are typing, spell-checking, etc.
Swiping/Tracing chews up lots of CPU too.

You can set WatchDog to whitelist the keyboard app, like I did.
