Ketchup on hotdogs

In some areas of the world, ie Chicago, ketchup on a hotdog is a reason to go. Forget the fact that a hotdog is one of those things you eat once in a blue moon because of all the nitrates and sodium (among other things) packed in that one link. But some people are picky about what condiments should go on a dog.

So what are your condiments of choice and do you see ketchup on a hotdog as disrespectful or not belonging?

I like mustards..and mustard relishes...for one ...mustard has hardly any calories..and tons of ways to prepare it..add it to hot relishes..and nummmmmm

I like ketchup, mustard (usually brown mustard or spicy mustard), relish or pickles, onions (if I have some) and sometimes sauerkraut. Always ketchup though.

Everything but the sauerkraut, unless it's really fresh.
MBM, yes Bacon is a plus too.

I usually only buy the Kosher Polish Ones from Nathan or Hebrew National or the Johnsonville, but I digress it's my stomach talking now... Only Mustard + on those though, no Ketchup...

Oh, Hoffman's white hots are the best. But I think you can only get those in NY.

I like the ballpark Angus too..but any quality hot dog or sausage will plump way up of cooked on a medium low grade heat..

SoCal is limited in the excellent hot dog/sausage area.
Oh, so sad! When I lived in Oregon I was a vegetarian for a couple years... Easy to do it there. But when I moved back to NY, not so easy. The first thing I wanted was a hot dog...loaded!
