Just got a new RAZR.... SD card problems

So when I took the sd card out of my bionic to put in my RAZR I didn't unmount it. Can this lose data? Its no big deal if I lost stuff but when I inserted the old sd card from my Bionic into my new RAZR... it showed no pictures or videos
