I had issues with Liberty 3 on my X, but just make a nandroid backup and try it.

I have had no luck with jakebites or power boost mods, they always make my phone laggy and skippy and can't really notice a difference

I was under the impression it was for Cyanogen and MIUI roms.

Su enter works fine but modcentral says not found I'm trying to get better battery life and normally liberty is great but liberty 3 is not so great on battery any suggestions on what to do

Its supposed to work for all GB OTA ROMs.

To the OP, you can undervolt using Android Overclock for better battery and change the governor to a conservative one.
