It finally came!

So my new Droid came in the mail today.Thank god. I couldn't wait any longer.. I've been looking around the forum here recently just trying to see how much everyone liked their droid before I bought mine. Have to wait till Monday to activate it.. But I hope to fall in love with mine like everyone else has.. Oh by the way. Did anyone else laugh when they pulled their phone out of the box and seen the extremely small owners manual book that came with it??

Small manual=pretty common these days...

Why do you have to wait 'til Monday? To go to the store? VZW's site will allow you to activate a phone right there online by yourself...

Yes, I agree. Better yet call Verizon on another phone at their toll free number and have them step you through it. No way should you have to wait. You should be up and running in an hour.

I have to wait till monday the 8th because the new month of our billing cycle starts. if I don't wait the 2 days they will charge me for the $30 data package for last month and I didn't even use it.. My old phone the voyager only cost me $10 for the internet and all that good stuff.. I rather wait the 2 days and not pay the $30 truthfully

No they won't. Its pro rated. You'll only get charged for 2 days, if they told you different then call and double check. I'm certain you won't be charged a full month. Heck if that was the case all of us would have waited too.
