As for what the best one is, there are a bunch of them out there to choose from, AVG, Avast then there are some of those that are paid apps, and also Lookout Security which does a lot more then just antivirus. The problem is if you ask 20 people what the best one is your likely get 10 different answers. Sometimes it's a personal preference thing, and sometimes it's weather you will spend money on the app or not

I don't use it. If you don't side load APKs I don't think its very necessary.

I installed Advanced Mobile Care on a lark after reading about it in Drippler. Runs a quick scan on apps when they're installed, then sits background and I don't notice it. Also, doesn't seem to use hardly any battery. Not necessary IMHO, unless as mentioned you load some weird apps or sideload apks.

I have been using the free version of AVAST and it works fine. I am also using it on my laptop with good results.

I have also used avast for a long time and I have had no problem with it.
The one thing that it causes is a bit of lag right after downloading an app because it scans it for viruses right then

I also don't use anti virus software on my phone. I don't have any need for it. But I use AVG on my computer and it works great. If I did need an anti virus software that is what I would use

None here. Advanced mobile care uses a minimal amount of battery, and doesn't cause any lag. Do I need it? Probably not, however, having it certainly hasn't adversely affected either my Bionic or S4.
