Is Verizon still sending Droid 2s for replacements?

Just wondering, since I'm having issues with the touch screen twitching on me when it is plugged in ever since the most recent update and that mic issue yet again.

I'd like a droid 2 if it fixed those issues.

Thanks

I had one sent to me last Friday and it was a Droid 1. I really can't see anything cosmetically wrong with it at all. The screen was perfect, it had no blemishes, nicks, scratches or anything else that would indicate it belonged to anyone but the most careful.

I'm very happy with it.

Unless you've had multiple replacements, the rep will tell you the manufacturer's warranty only covers the same phone, and they will not offer anything else. You will only receive a Droid 2 if they are out of stock of the Droid 1 refurbs, and in most cases the rep won't know either way.

I'm having to get a refurb sent to me since the latest update hosed my gps. The girl I talked to said I would be getitng a D1. Doesn't bother me either way, I just hope whatever they send actually works and looks as nice as mine does. If not it's going back.

I hate that I'm having to get a refurb phone because of a software problem.

Same here. I received a replacement Droid 1 on Friday and it looks like it's in brand new condition. Not a sign of use anywhere on it. So far so good with it.
