I am using the folder "stared contacts" and this should

be fine for me. I don't yet how to move something into a folder, or even create a folder with the phone number in it. I would still like a speed dial function and hope that an app comes out for it.

You rename the folder by opening it, then long press on the name at the top of the folder, a rename folder box will pop up.

Hold down the desktop, add folder , starred contacts.
Goto your contacts and star your favorite contacts.
Not speeddial but almost.

Google account will then have a new category called starred in android also.

Used to show the images also but now it seems to not. Sucky

What's cool is you can set a speed button to a contact or a direct dial... I love it... I just wish there were more then three screens or that you could adjust the icons closer to fit more on one screen lol There is so much to do and so little space... :)

You can create a shortcut to "Voicemail" in your contacts (*68) but I would suggest using Visual Voice mail... you will like it much better.

Yes I think it's like 1.99 a month... nothing I was too worried about though so I didn't remember exactly what it was.

Creating a folder for the home screen is a great idea.

Here are the Motorola directions for Speed Dial:

Your DROID uses the Favorites tab to replace your traditional speed dial feature.

To add contacts to Favorites:

From the applications menu, or home screen, touch Phone
Touch Contacts
Touch the contact/s that you want to add.
Touch the Star next to the contacts name.
To dial from Favorites:

From the applications menu, or home screen, touch Phone
Touch Favorites
Touch the desired contact
To remove a contact from Favorites:

From the applications menu, or home screen, touch Phone
Touch Favorites
Touch and hold (long touch) the desired contact
Touch Remove from favorites

Youmail is free visual voice mail. Seems to work okay so far.

"YOUMAIL" is great. The best part is all the things you can do on the website. You upload your address book to youmail and then the people who call you get a customized greeting. For example if Bob calls me it says. "Hi Bob, Todd is not here right now, please leave a message". You can apply tons of different messages to specific users in your address book. For example, break up with your girlfriend, have her custom message say that your phone number has been disconnected or is no longer in service.

Plus you get an icon for when you do get voicemails. When you tap on that icon, any voicemails you have are downloaded and you listen to them by tapping on the specific voicemail that is in your voicemail inbox.

YOUMAIL is great... seriously... and it's FREE.
