I just got a Droid 2 yesterday mainly cuz I hate AT&T and wanted to switch carriers after my contract expired. I picked the D2 over the X mainly because the X seemed to big and ugly to me (just my opinion no offense to X owners) and not because I really needed the physical keyboard.
That being said, I really like the D2 but I think I actually prefer a virtual keyboard w/ Swype to the physical keyboard most of the time. The problem is every time you switch the D2 to landscape mode the virtual keyboard disappears and you have to slide out the physical keyboard to type anything. It seems like you can only use the virtual keyboard in portrait mode which is too small for me. So is there a way to make the virtual swype keyboard show up in landscape mode and not have to slide out the keyboard every time?
