Is there a way to silence the camera shutter sound on GB?

I have the leaked GB rom 2.3.595 odex. on my Droid X. Problem no matter the ring state of my phone or setting in my camera app. The shutter sound still goes off. I know with my WM (windows) phones. I could find the wav/mp3 and re-write it to be a blank or silent sound.

Is this possible or is there no known fix?

Have you tried the camera settings? If its the blur camera there is a option to turn off the shutter sound.

Ok. The issue is back. I've got Vignette installed. All setting in stock camera app set for sound to be off. Same in vignette. but it will still make the shutter sound. Is there no way to silence this?

This will stop the sound. Using Root Explorer you can either delete or rename the /system/media/audio/ui/camera_click.ogg. To silence the Video Recorder sound rename VideoRecord.ogg in that same folder.

This worked perfectly. Edited the file to .ogg.bak
