Is there a live wallpaper that displays what you camera sees

Im looking for an application the in a sense makes my droid see through. If anyone knows of an existing live wallpaper or is currently developing one please let me know about it. Again the idea is to set your camera as the live wallpaper so that you can see through your droid

Besides wrecking the battery, that would be such a cool idea!

I agree, it would probably use so much juice and CPU/GPU as to be impractical, but still very cool, at least to show off.

one of my ladyfriends has an app on her iphone where her texting background is a live view of the cam on her phone. she said it helps her while driving :icon_ nono2:

actually.....

if youve seen the new iron man 2 then you know what im getting at. and the tech does exist its called oled display and it can either be transparent ( which i desire to emulate ) or used in certain cases where one would prefer to have an extremely thin screen or such applications that might also require (literal) flexible screens

Curious idea, but the effect would be pretty poor. First off, the lens is in the corner of the back of the droid, so the image is offset to the display. Instead of trying to explain the other problems, just try to turn on the camera, adjust the zoom to the appropriate size, and just move it around. You can see the effect is not that great.

it would work

if you notice that when you take a pic that it takes a larger picture than it shows on screen, also if you cropped the feed the proper way and set it to the same motion type swipe effect that u have when u switch screens, and possibly zoomed in a little, you probably wouldnt know the difference

i misarticulated

u say that the image would be offset to the display. well make it simple and onset the display to the image( zoom, crop, manipulate which part of the image is shown) i honestly think that it can be done...we are talking about an emulation here, understand that i dont expect perfect results. im just curious of whether or not it exists, if not who can i talk to ?
