I updated marketplace on my d2g last night via the apk from Droid-life. It works great. Should work on d2 just fine

I wonder if you have to download something else to trigger the new market? I got it on my D2 (rooted, stock rom still) when I decided to install the Twitter app. It automatically downloaded the market update and installed it on it's own. This was all yesterday (Dec 15th) here in Ohio.

I was just updated to the new marketplace. It happened pretty seamlessly. I installed an app (it was the old market) then when I went back into it, it was the new market.

It appears to be when you download an app it may update the market too? That kinda happened to me too on the D2G.

I got the update a few days ago, automatically. Honestly, I almost prefer the old version because the new one seems very cramped on screen. Though, the new categories are nice.
