Is Class 10 micro sdhc worth it in Droid X?

Anybody know if the speeds a class 10 micro sdhc card affords are taken advantage of in the DX i/o system? I.e., will my music and pictures load faster?

TIA,

Yes, please elaborate!

And what type of use exactly are you talking about? Does the droid X do a lot of random read / write action? I thought these cards were just for storage.

Just don't get a class 10 card. It will eventually lock your phone up.

Or do - I don't care. But you've been warned.

Mind linking to that thread then? I've searched all over this forum and others looking for info on which sdhc cards work best with a droid x and all I can find are people saying don't get this or that. No mention of how exactly they came to that conclusion. I wouldn't care if there were some kind of majority consensus about good cards that do work but there isn't.

So far the Patriot 32gb c10 seems to be the only guaranteed failure.

No one has apparently tried the Lexar 32gb c10.

Has anyone tried lower capacity c10 cards with a droid x?

Anyone tried any c6 cards at all in an x? If so which ones? Cause I haven't heard a single report.

I think Sandisk makes a 32gb c4. Is that a good choice? Anyone tried it?

Best I've got now is this guy who says c4 is best based on personal experience with who knows what. I don't mean to say you're wrong. Only that I'd like the full explanation of your experience. If you've typed it somewhere else please just kindly post a link cause I can't find it.

I can tell you from experience that not all class 10 SDHC cards are created equal.

From Wikipedia:
Even though the class ratings are defined by a governing body, like × speed ratings, class speed ratings are quoted by the manufacturers and not verified by any independent evaluation process. In applications that require sustained write throughput, such as video recording, the device may not perform satisfactorily if the SD card's class rating falls below a particular speed.

I purchased a Transcend class 10 SDHC card for HD video recording in my Canon camcorder. The camcorder manual states that minimum speed for HD recording is Calss 4, however the Transcend card that I bought did not work. I returned it and replaced it with a Kensington Class 10 of the same capacity and all is well.

I'm not sure how this all may or may not apply to the DX.
