IR remote...would this be possible?

A little dongle that plugs into the USB port and an app to use the Droid as a highly configurable touchscreen remote for your A/V system.

Is that possible?

Anything's possible. Is it likely? I'd doubt it. Seems like a very small market. Who knows, though. It's more likely to happen IMO if the dongle is a universal device that can work with many smartphones, PC's etc.

Honestly, I'd rather stick with my Universal MX-350. Touchscreens are very "gee whiz" but tactile buttons are actually useful IMO.
