hello I'm Flip. I have a Samsung Galaxy A20 sm-a205u was originally a metro pcs phone I believe but is network unlocked and I have tmobile. Is it possible to root this phone. so far it doesnt seem so. Are there any new phones that are rootable? If so what are some budget mid range phone thst can be rooted? what about those small chinese manufacturers, such as blu, are they any good?

Hey, welcome to the forum we haven't really looked into rooted phones around here in a while. Your best bet is to check out XDA developers forums over there for rooted opportunities Good luck with your quest and you're always welcome to stop by

Welcome! As BK said, we don't have much of a root & ROM community here these days.

Is there any specific reason you feel you HAVE to have root? Personally, I haven't felt that need in years.
