Internet Calling With CM7 ROMs

There is a setting in CM7 settings about internet calling. Has anybody tried it successfully?

Also, the CM7 Droid X ROM section is gone on my phone (Droid Forums app), is this just me or can someone else confirm?

Yeah, the CM7 section is gone on my phone. The other ROMs are still there, but CM7 is gone.

I tried putting in all my SIP information in CM7 settings but it wouldn't connect any calls. I also tried SIP Droid and it would go 5 seconds then end the call...

I was able to Google it and post there aand I can see it in active topics. I guess I'll subscribe to that thread.

I haven't tried it because I don't know how to set up a SIP account/service. Im not sure what that means I guess.

Like skype? Or some other voIP? And don't you have to pay for that? I've never really known.. I know google voice supposedly does that for international calls, for $. Can you link it to your google number somehow?
