Thanks.mountainbiker. I don't do any social media.

I'll double check the browser downloads.I may be wrong, but I checked Handcent downloads, Downloads, Download, download anywhere I could find a variation off the word. I'll check, again.

I use Opera and delete my downloads from the app itself under its settings.
I wasn't using Facebook either but it kept filling up with data until I deleted its data and froze it.

In Firefox, I delete the own tabs, the history and downloads. I also go into Google and delete everything fully daily.

What about any mapping apps possibly cacheing maps for offline use. If memory serves, Maps has a setting that auto saves your general area.

Just update...

Using the app ES File Explorer, there is a cleaner function.

Running that, I would find 3-5 "copies" of different apps, say like AMAZON and each one had a different amount of memory contained within it.

Just being careful, I tried the Amazon selection and deleted the smallest ones. No deleterious results.

So I went down the list and included thumbnails, I regained 5gb. of space.

Not sure if that makes sense to anyone, but I haven't seen any negatives from this so far.
