Installing .apk files

since froyo 2.2 was pushed all of the .apk file managers went down as far as i know so i searched and found linda file manager. works great! just letting everyone know that wanted app's that were removed from the market like fancy widget

Had no issues installing APKs on my D2. Never had Linda file manager.

all the managers that i d/l'd from the market either forced closed or would find the file.. only linda found the file and installed it

Did you try Astro?

Also, D2 comes w/a file browser...

astro wouldnt find anything on my sd card.. didnt even know about the file manager already on the phone lol.. guess thats what i get for not looking through all the apps on that were already pre loaded

You got something weird going on...Astro runs fine on the D2.

Have you tried it again recently?

ya but after a google search i found out that u have to unplug the usb cord before searching for the file on the sd card using astro

That's true of any file manager...if the SD card is mounted via USB the phone (and any app on it) can't see the card.
