Individual contact on home screen

Hi, I just received my S7 Edge,(new) last phone was a Nexus 6 so its a bug change. I can't seem to figure out how to add an individual contact as a widget on my home screen. I'd like a quick tap to call or text my wife or son.

It might be a little different on a Samsung, but this is how I can do that on my phone. Long press an empty spot on the screen, and when the options appear > select Widgets. Scroll down and select Contacts - Direct Dial. Then you will be prompted for which Contact to associate with the direct dial Widget.
