Well apparently, just as the HTC thunderbolt, the Droid Incredible S (aka Incredible 2) is going to have a locked bootloader, making it harder to load custom ROMs, and so it looks like these two phones are gonna mark an era of HTC so longer being modding friendly. Its a sad state of affairs, now you HTC users are gonna be stuck in the same boat as us Motorola users lol

My D1 contract is ending in the next few months and was really looking forward to the next gen Android phone rooted. I don't know if I could go back to an unrooted machine filled with bloatware. DO I dare say go to iFail5 when it comes out?

Locked bootloaders are not a surprise. It was pretty obvious that more companies were going to lock them, all I did to my Incredible was root it to gain some abilities, but I haven't changed the ROM or anything
