incredible locks up when trying to delete threads in messaging

one of my buddies has an incredible, and every time he tries deleting a messaging thread, it locks up and wants you to do a force close, then the phone will freeze... any idea what to do other than re loading the phone?

err i just deleted a bunch and had no issues. I would try a batt pull and reboot. Not sure what your messaging app is trying to do

Mine does the same thing. Stock messaging app. Tried taking the battery out and doing it but still keeps force closing. I guess there's so many messages it freezes. Any ideas other than deleting one by one?
