improve battery life

Just got my X2 a few days ago, rooted and removed most of the bloats.

I have the battery usage set on the nighttime saver mode, so during the day it works normally. I noticed with a normal day of use, mostly web stuff, no videos or music, at end of night I'm just about completely out of juice. My original Droid seemed to last much longer than this.

Going to try the maximum battery saver mode for a few days to see how it goes. Anyone has any tips to extend the battery life? Are there higher capacity batteries out there for the X2?

I'd assume that you have a bh5x... Amazon sells the bh6x extended battery for 20 dollars

whats your battery usage? my Droid X will last all day and the Droid X2 lasts alot longer than that.

Check to make sure you don't have an app constantly updating.

Check Gmail, Calendar, Facebook, reading news, a few phone calls. No games except at night playing Sudoku for 10 to 20 minutes.
