I'm going to fight my speeding ticket.

If my eyes are correct speed limit says 35 and if my law is correct if a speed limit sign isnt visible you abide by the last visible speed posted

I've gotten like 4 speeding tickets but I still have a spotless record because they were all dropped down to impeding traffic which is a small fine , no points, and doesn't show up on your record. Considering you haven't gotten a ticket on ten years, that's prolly gone due to the statute of limitations sooooo, your record is spotless and most likely the prosecutor will offer you a deal to drop it down to impeding traffic which is cool.

Well, here is the catch. After some research, there is no posted speed limit sign on the side of the street I entered. However, there is a suggested speed sign of 30 MPH. Therefore, we can safely assume that the speed limit is above 30 MPH on the street, but how much above? I could also see that street being 45 MPH as it's out in the country. That said, if one end of the road is stating the suggested speed is 30 MPH, and you can't see a speed limit sign for 25 MPH, how is one supposed to know what the actual posted speed should be?

From a 1 minute search.... figure out what is that road classified as. Looks like a rural road to me, which states 35 MPH. Ignorance isn't an excuse.

Good luck and keep us posted! Likely will get off because you are not a habitual offender. Then again, you may get "Ignorance of the law is no excuse" and get the points and fine + court costs

So did telling him you missed the speed limit sign while opening your beer with your seat belt tab while using your expired insurance card as a coaster work? :icon_ devil:
