Im a big fan of the new Beautiful Widget!!!

The old one was killer. The new one is bleh. I have other weather widgets I'd put up there free.

I'll keep the old one as long as it works. Maybe by then he'll have a nicer version.

Newbie here. I downloaded Beautiful Widget a couple of days ago (new version). Having seen pictures of the old version, I do like the new one better. For all the bad comments from folks disappointed by the new version, you all must admit that the Dev works his butt off. Now I for one will always support someone who provides that level of service. Besides, we all know that eventually, many of these same folks will end up coming back. Why, because the Dev actually listens to EVERYONE's concerns. Keep the faith folks.

I am also disappointed in the new look. Wish I would have read the fine print and backed my app up. My own fault. I also like the clock/weather widget pictured and would purchase it as soon as it hits.

There is a newer update today that has the smaller home widget.

BW was also asking for the Droid Clock Font on their Twitter page so I e-mailed them the file (plus all the Droid internal font files from 2.1)... so maybe we will se an update soon with the exact clock font from the Lock screen. Not my favorite font, BUT at least it will match exactly and should look a little better than the current font they are using. Plus it will give it a more "unified Droid" look.

Go to the Market then Menu>Downloaded and see if it shows an update available.

I saw an update around 1:15pm Pacific Time. When I did the update, it gave me a time of 2:61 and showed the moon. I deleted the widget and put it back. It worked then.

side note: those unhappy with the new look... what widget are you switching to if any? Weather Widget? suggestions welcome as I'm looking for something new

I'm gonna try skinning this app by changing some of the images in the .apk and seeing what happens.

Edit: Ok, just tried substituting the old number images in for the new ones. Worked, here is the pic, looks bad, but its just a test.

gonna see if I can get Brett Lewis' design hacked into Beautiful Home.

I finally got around to backing up the original and updating to the new one - mainly to stop the update alerts. I have to say, even though I thought all of the screen shots were fugly, once it's on the phone it's not half bad. The weather animations are really useless - I never even see them unless I'm wondering what tomorrow's weather will be - so I don't care that those changed.

I like the small home better than the full size.

I found the new beautiful widgets looks works better on certain wallpapers. The wallpaper I had when Beautiful Widgets was the old design didn't look right with the new design.... new wallpaper and it's back to looking sharp!

I agree. And there are some UGLY wallpapers out there that I'm sure it would look bad on. Mine is a simple, dark background and it looks neato frito.
