Reboot into Recovery
Install zip from SD Card
Reboot
Enjoy

Essentially, it just like flashing the ROM, but without all the wiping (although I do wipe cache, for whatever reason)

No but it you get a boot loop or boot freeze wipe cache and dalvik once

Cache is like what your computer writes to RAM during use. When you shut it off it wipes it. The cache in Android is similar.

Dalvik cache takes all apps and system information and creates a file of what should be loaded on boot (kinda). That is why on first boot of the OS after a flash, it takes FOREVER.

I take that back. It won't boot up for me. Even after wiping cache and dalvik. It'll get to where it will vibrate and then freeze. No matter how many times I repeat the process.
