Great question, and one would hope so. I know that in the past, as updates came down from the programmers, they often addressed things such as battery consumption, so there's good cause to believe that Motorola will be tweaking the new ICS Rom to take advantage of power-saving techniques in managing the radios, display, speakers, amplifiers, etc.
